At Generation Bee, we believe the people closest to the process should be the ones telling the story. Here is exactly how our products are made — no mystery, no shortcuts.
This Is Not a Lab. It's a Kitchen.
And that's exactly the point.
While most skincare brands formulate in facilities you'll never see, with ingredients you can't pronounce, Generation Bee starts somewhere different — a real kitchen, real hands, and a standard borrowed from the food world: if you wouldn't eat it, it doesn't go on your skin.
What you're about to see is how we actually make our products. No stock footage. No actors in lab coats. Just Harry (one of our Bee Keepers), the formulations, and the process behind every jar.
Meet Harry
Harry isn't a cosmetic chemist by training. He's something rarer — someone who looked at the skincare industry and asked a genuinely different question.
Not how do we make this more effective? but why are we using ingredients we'd never consume in the first place?
That question led him to the kitchen. And the kitchen led to Generation Bee.
The Food-Grade Standard
Here's the rule Harry works by: every ingredient in a Generation Bee product has to meet food-grade standards.
That means no synthetic preservatives, no petrochemical fillers, no mystery compounds with six-syllable names that exist solely to extend shelf life or cut costs.
If it couldn't pass through a food supply chain, it doesn't belong on your skin.
This isn't a marketing position. It's a formulation constraint — one that makes our job harder and our products genuinely different.
The skincare industry has very low standards for what goes into a product. The food industry has much higher ones. We decided to hold ourselves to the harder standard.
What Goes In
Our formulations are built around a short, honest ingredient list.
Honey — raw, traceable, from our own hives — is the foundation.
Around it, we work with ingredients like:
Beeswax — a natural emulsifier and barrier, straight from the hive.
Cold-pressed plant oils — selected for skin compatibility, not cost efficiency.
Raw honey — antibacterial, humectant, and the ingredient that ties everything back to where we started.
Essential botanicals — used at meaningful concentrations, not trace amounts added for the label.
Every ingredient has a reason to be there. Nothing is decorative.
Small Batch, on Purpose
Generation Bee products are made in small batches. Not because we haven't figured out how to scale, but because small batches are how you maintain quality when you're working without synthetic stabilizers.
Each batch is mixed by hand, checked for consistency, and assessed before it goes anywhere near a jar. There's no automated line. There's no outsourced production. Harry makes it, Harry checks it, and Harry stands behind it.
When the batch is right, it ships. When it isn't, it doesn't. That's the whole quality control system.
Why This Matters
The skincare industry is enormous, opaque, and almost entirely disconnected from the people who buy its products. Ingredients are obscured. Processes are hidden. Claims are inflated.
Generation Bee is a direct rebuttal to all of that.
We show you the kitchen because we have nothing to hide. We use food-grade ingredients because we believe your skin deserves the same scrutiny as your food. We keep Harry's name on the process because accountability is part of the product.
You can't get this from a brand that outsources its formulations to a white-label manufacturer. You can only get it from someone who genuinely cares what goes on your skin and can prove it.
The Honey Connection
Everything comes back to the bees.
The honey in our products comes from the same hives as the honey in our jars. Same source, same standards, same family operation. That's not a coincidence — it's the whole philosophy. We started with exceptional raw honey and asked: what else can we make with this?
The answer is a skincare line that's traceable all the way back to a specific hive, on a specific piece of land, tended by a family that has been doing this for years.
No other skincare brand can say that. Because no other skincare brand started where we did.
Transparency Is Our Differentiator
We're not trying to compete with Tatcha or La Mer on packaging or prestige. We're competing on truth.
The full ingredient list is on every product. The process is on this page. The people behind it have names and faces. And if you ever have a question about what's in something or why, you can ask us directly and get a real answer.
That's what Generation Bee is. A skincare brand with nothing to hide and everything to show.
